[edit]Added a reference to DEC! (not finding it was like going to the entry on Derby, my home town, and finding nothing on Rolls Royce or the railways). Linuxlad 16:34, 11 September 2005 (UTC)
"Only in Maynard" is a line from a (trademarked) bumpersticker, and is not, and has never been, a "motto" of the town of Maynard. -apostlethirteen —Preceding unsigned comment added by Apostlethirteen (talk • contribs) 16:12, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
2012: Compared to write-ups of neighboring towns, this description for Maynard needs the following sections and updates: Recreation Facilities, Cultural Institutions, etc.David notMD (talk) 15:09, 12 September 2012 (UTC)
2012: Added Education and Government sections.David notMD (talk) 15:09, 12 September 2012 (UTC)
2013: I wrote up a proposed list of Notable residents for a newspaper column, which someone else was kind enough to past into the Wikipedia entry and set up the links. The listing has changed a bit since then - some of the less famous 'Notables' removed because they do not have separate Wikipedia entries about them. David notMD (talk) 17:36, 31 July 2013 (UTC)
2013: Added Places of worship section. Sources were the websites for the churches or drive-bys for the ones that do not have websites. History of former places of worship frim 1921 and 1971 books on Maynard. David notMD (talk) 10:23, 4 November 2013 (UTC)
2017: Added details to Sites of interest and Recreation opportunities as a sub-section. David notMD (talk) 12:43, 27 October 2017 (UTC)

Completeness versus length
[edit]How much content is enough for Massachusetts towns? Size-wise, near-neighbors to Maynard range from under 20,000 bytes (Carlisle, Wayland, Stow) to more than 40,000 (Hudson, Concord, Acton). Maynard, at 42,800 is toward the high end. As to what might still be needed as sections, other towns have Recreation opportunities and Cultural institutions. Some of what is already on the site (Rail Trail, ArtSpace, Acme Theater) could be shifted, and other stuff (Hiking trails, Boating on the Assabet...) could be added. David notMD (talk) 16:21, 29 October 2017 (UTC)
- Added Recreation opportunities as subsection under Sites of Interest. David notMD (talk) 13:18, 3 November 2017 (UTC)
- Feb 2019: Length 45,500 bytes. David notMD (talk) 10:45, 1 February 2019 (UTC)

Conflict of interest
[edit]I have been one of the major contributors to this article. I am also author of the book "Hidden History of Maynard," which is a citation for some of the content of the article. Information in that book was sourced from the Maynard Historical Society collection, Annual Reports available at the Maynard Public Library, microfilm of Maynard newspapers (Library) and previously published histories of Maynard and surrounding towns. I believe all content in HHM to be true. However, I will work to replace or supplement citations of that book with citations of original material. David notMD (talk) 13:34, 3 November 2017 (UTC)
